My hubby is turning 3-0!!

My husband is turning 30 at the end of February and I want to throw him a big party but.... I don't know where to start... a venue?!? (our house is waaay to small to host any more than 6 people) A theme? (that may be nerdy) I just want it to be really special sooo if anyone has any ideas I'm open for them...

Go to the dentist...ouch!

Look at my little duckling... aww his face was all puffy. The first picture is of him feeling weird after the numbing agent! I felt so so so bad! The dentist is my only real irrational fear, I totally freak out at the thought of going but Maxwell was so brave- he didn't shed a single tear! (although I did) Next week we are going back and having all of his teeth sealed- so no more cavities for this kid and no more judging looks from the hygenist for me ("I swear I make him brush. ..and floss!! Oh yeah of course we use a floride rinse")

Mom's Birthday dinner

Last night we went to dinner for my mom's birthday at my cute husband's restaurant. She wanted a red velvet cake but due to my lack of planning (and the fact that I have no idea what flavor red velvet is) she got a fruit tart. Happy birthday!

Happy birthday Mommy! Today is my beautiful mother's birthday- so I posted a few of her favorite things 1. diet coke- it's her only true addiction 2. bread pudding- I say eww gross but she can't get enough of it 3. Bruce- it's true my mama LOVES the boss and 4. John Mayer- it might be hereditary because even if I'm a little embarrassed about it I LOVE him too! (I say hereditary others say it's a birth defect) Anyway I love you Mom! Happy Birthday!

New Years Eve... AKA my R rated dress night...

Here are a few from New Years. I went to dinner with friends while Henry slaved away at work. I can't remember the name of the restaurant maybe because we did the wine pairing and they were VERY generous with the wine but the portions of the food were tiny! So I'm not really great at math but tiny food+ lots of wine= Amanda being extra fun! I also put one up of the boys there was not a single picture of Henry and I together but we did meet up at Jevan's house for a party and we had a pretty great kiss at midnight (maybe it was the R rated dress?!) Christmas 08.

I know it is mid January. I know I have posted like 10 times since Christmas. I also know that I should have taken more pictures on Christmas so that I would have been more excited about this post. I took one of the breakfast that I made but I did not take any of my loved ones eating it. I took one of my presents all wrapped under the tree but very few of my loved ones unwrapping them. However, Maxwell and the prank kit were great. He was so funny all day with it! I love that even with all the expensive gifts he received disappearing ink and a whoopie cushion were that things that gave him the most joy! I guess I did not take photos of the eating and unwrapping because I was partaking in the festivities! Next year though everyone say cheese!!!

Erins House

I went to see my cute friend Erin at her parents beautiful house the other night. Erin moved to Arizona a while ago and miss her so much! It was such a fun night full of great wine and great conversation surrounded by beautiful art work (Erin's parents own a Russian art gallery in Park City) I also got to meet her wonderful boyfriend Brady! I feel really lucky to have people like Erin and her family in my life!

I can't decide

So we are having a new staircase put in this week (so excited BTW!!) and we are having our fireplace replaced after that (yay!) so now I have to figure out what to do with my walls paint or wall paper?!? I feel very noncommittal about the whole thing, But it has come down to pineapple fizz paint or one of the beautiful romo wall papers pictured above. I think the middle one may be the winner. We will be so happy once we are done with all the remodeling projects we started 3 years ago... although a black and white tile kitchen floor has been on my mind a lot lately....

Gossip Girl is back- and I'm OBSESSED!! Warning! This post is very nerdy!

So while my husband and offspring are playing xbox you may ask "Amber, what do you do with all that spare time? You must be running out of girlie movies and walls to paint pink?" The answer is: obsess over Gossip Girl. I have never loved a show more!! And never loved a wardrobe more! So I have spent a little time shopping online and Blair's beauties above are now mine (yay!) I do promise though I will not wear the turquoise plaid top and skirt together! The UPS guy will probably be my best friend this week!

I'm sick of boys...

Even though most of the time I love being the only girl in our little family right now I am really sick of the following things: video games, dirty socks, video games, tennis shoes, Lego sets, and specifically Xbox live. So I have decided to have a girly mindless movie marathon tonight all by myself. It will include such classics as the poetic Uptown Girls, the truly intriguing 13 Going on 30 and the epic classic Clueless. I love being a girl.
